Transitional Housing EST. 2017
Witnessing the struggles of system-impacted individuals firsthand for 20 years, Mayra Martinez, our CEO, knew she couldn’t just offer platitudes. Inspired by a former resident’s story of overcoming homelessness, she decided to “be the change she wanted to see”. In 2017, she opened her first transitional housing program, offering not just a roof but also skills training and mental health support. Six years later,” Aim High Sober Living” has grown to seven houses, transforming the lives of over 100 individuals. John, once released with nowhere to go, now has a stable job and a supportive community thanks to the programs. “They didn’t just give me a place to stay,” John says, “they gave me a chance to rebuild my life.” With affordable housing scarce and mental health resources stretched thin, Aim High Sober ling is a beacon of hope, proving that systemic change starts with individual acting.
Empower every returning citizen in Los Angeles and San Bernardino County to thrive with access to quality, affordable housing units, living-wage jobs, and a network of healthcare, mentorship, and skill-development programs. Join us in building a future where second chances lead to lasting success. We navigate the complex and interconnected needs of those reentering society, addressing educational, employment, parole and probation, veteran benefits, child support, healthcare, housing, and family relationship challenges.
Having served the community for over 20 years our CEO, Mayra Martinez, felt the best way to help system-impacted people is to be the change she wanted to see.
